In Recovery is
a sober home for women recovering from alcoholism and/or
drug abuse; including prescription drugs; based on the
philosophy that, until a woman can face the reality of any
addiction in her life, other areas of tension and pain
cannot be adequately treated. The focus of the total
program is The Twelve Step Model. |
Women in
Recovery was created to be a safe place for women who
sometimes feel very unsafe in today's world. It is the culmination of a
dream which has been
carried out successfully by Sister Ada Geraghty: a
sober living home for chemically dependent women based on
a holistic concept of
well being.
Our
purpose is to bring about change and renewal of the
total person, spiritually, emotionally, socially and
physically, in order that she may return to her family and
the workplace as a vital contributing member.

The goal of Women In Recovery, Inc., is to help women begin a new
life, free from alcohol and/or drugs. We provide a
comfortable, plus a supportive, accepting, encouraging,
positive and very understanding environment, where women can
share similar pain and frustration and who now share their
determination to begin again.
Women In Recovery, Inc. is a Non-Profit
Corporation.
We are supported by fees paid by residents and donations from
private organizations, individuals, and foundations. Many
of our most generous contributors are former residents
and their families. These people are grateful for
their new lives that began at Women In Recovery and are
eager to share their blessings with other women who are
chemically dependent and need help.
One of the most
important ways
in which you can support the work of Women In
Recovery is to help a woman who needs us.
If you know a
woman for whom chemical dependency is seriously becoming a
problem, please urge her to seek help.
